The Shard opening night

The Shard is an 87-storey skyscraper in London, England.

Approximately 306 meters (1,004 ft.) high, the Shard is currently the tallest building in the European Union. The pyramidal tower has 72 habitable floors, with a viewing gallery and open-air observation deck on the 72nd floor, at a height of 244.3 meters (802 ft.). It was designed by the famous Italian architect Renzo Piano, and built with financial help of the State of Qatar.

The Shard inauguration night, July 5, 2012  featured a large laser light show, with twelve lasers and 30 searchlights, which illuminated the building and the London skyline.
