Pikes Peak is a mountain of the Rocky Mountains, 10 miles (16 km) west of centre of Colorado Springs.
At 14,115 feet (4,302 m), it is one of Colorado’s 54 highest mountains.
This photo was taken at the beginning of October 2011 from Crystal Creek Reservoir (north of Pikes Peak Summit)
